R-22 Phase Out

If you must buy new a/c unit this summer, go with the ones with R-410a. R-22 can not be made after this year and the cost of Freon will go up. The year 2010 marks an important U.S. milestone for ozone protection with the phase out of R-22, an ozone depleting refrigerant used in some new air-conditioning systems for more than four decades.
